Call for Board Nominations

The board of the Heart of America Affiliate of the Association for Nursing Professional Development is accepting nominations for the vacant positions described below (for full position descriptions see the bylaws on our website). Nominations will be open between August 14 and October 1, 2023. Voting will be open to all membership in October. You may nominate yourself or someone else. President-Elect
-- Coordinates program planning with members
-- Presides in the absence of the President
-- Provides oversight for membership and recruitment activities
-- Serves one year as President-elect and following year as President

Secretary and Marketing Chair
-- Records minutes for Board and Affiliate meetings and posts for membership review
-- Uploads the schedule for all Board and Affiliate meetings on the notification system
-- Evaluates annual dues structures and makes recommendations to the Board to the total membership
-- Ensures current membership roster is updated and in good standing through the HOA Nursing Network system
-- Appointed term is for two years

Education Chair
-- Conducts a needs assessment for chapter member professional development
-- Collaborates with speakers and membership to provide continuing education credit
-- Provides oversight for annual education conference
-- Appointed term is for two years
