Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality care in fast-paced emergency settings across various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in acute care, quick to respond to emergencies, and comfortable adapting to new environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in accordance with emergency protocols
  • Deliver direct patient care for a variety of emergent conditions including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory emergencies
  • Administer medications, start IVs, monitor vital signs, and manage emergency equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver effective care
  • Provide patient and family education and emotional support in high-stress situations
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the facility’s electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and standards of care

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of assignment (or compact license if applicable)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not mandatory

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new environments, protocols, and teams
  • Proficient in use of EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Meditech)

Assignment Details

  • Travel contract: typically 13 weeks (may vary)
  • Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Housing and travel stipends provided (as per agency policy)
  • Competitive hourly pay, per diem, and bonus opportunities

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and bending
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
  • Must be able to respond quickly in high-pressure emergency situations

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary: $55 - $58 Annual
