Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds are available by request through 10/14/2025. Refunds will be issued via check within 60 days of the request for cancellation. After 10/14/2025 no refunds are available, however your registration is transferrable to another participant. Speakers
Kevin Briggs is a nursing professional development specialist with over 30 years of experience spanning clinical education, leadership, and innovation in healthcare systems. As Clinical Education Coordinator at AdventHealth Surgery Center, Kevin has spearheaded the implementation of the Donna Wright Competency Model, developed the original educational series “KevTalk,” and actively contributes to the planning and execution of regional conferences through the Heart of America Association for Nursing Professional Development (HOA ANPD). His work has been showcased nationally, including presentations at ANPD conferences in 2015 and 2016, where he was honored as Star Search Winner. His creative approach and hard work has earned him multiple awards, including: • KFMC Patient Safety Video Contest (2nd Place, 2012) • SMMC Above and Beyond Award • KUMC Professional Development Award Kevin holds a Master of Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. He is board-certified in Nursing Professional Development and has served in leadership roles with HOA ANPD, including Vice President, Treasurer, and Membership Chair. With a passion for elevating nursing practice through education, Kevin continues to inspire and lead through innovation, collaboration, and a deep commitment to professional excellence.
Michael is a registered nurse and instructional designer. He is currently the Manager and Instructional Designer in the Professional Development Department for Summit Healthcare in Show Low, Arizona. His career as a registered nurse spans over 23 years of experience as a bedside clinician and clinical educator in Emergency, Intensive Care, Medical-Surgical, Orthopedic, and Trauma. His career as an instructional designer overlaps 12 years within the nursing and education space. He holds undergraduate degrees in Registered Nursing, Recreation Management and Nonprofit Agency Administration and a Master of Education degree in Instructional Design. Michael has designed and developed numerous eLearning courses, live classes, and multiple types of learning assets. He has taught pre-conference workshops at national and local ANPD conferences in the past and has conducted numerous live and virtual workshops on instructional design, presentation design and authoring tools for other national organizations and guilds. He also holds certifications in several authoring and technology tools. Michael is passionate about designing and creating joyful and meaningful education programs, not just to meet trivial completion requirements.
