Nursing Professional Development Certification Preparation Course

Theresa is a master’s prepared board-certified nursing professional development specialist with more than 30 years of health care experience where she held diverse roles including leadership, quality, and consulting. She currently serves as the Director of Education at the second largest freestanding psychiatric mental health hospital. She is a certified Caritas Coach. Theresa has extensive experience in education design and creating innovative professional development activities to close the knowledge, skill, practice gap. She has presented to a diversity of audiences on the local, state, national, and international audiences, including podium presentations at ANPD and the Magnet Conference. Her passions include celebrating the unique talents of all nurses, coaching them to grow and develop their professional nursing practice, and improving the quality of patient care. As a healthcare consultant, she has helped many organizations achieve the esteemed ANCC Magnet designation. As a professional development practitioner, she has planned, implemented, and evaluated a homegrown seamless to transition practice program that yielded excellent New Graduate satisfaction scores, very high retention rates, and improved patient outcomes.
